::rushes in:: So busy today! I just finished
chapter seventeen of my Denial Fic. I'm seriously excited that I'm almost done. Only two chapters to go, and one half-done already! ::prances:: This has become longest fanfic *ever* and when I finish, it will be the longest piece of fiction that I've actually completed. Kyaa! Very thrilling.
Today I get to go grocery shopping, buy a few trees, plant said trees in my mother-in-law's yard, watch Smallville, as I missed it on TV and had to download it, as well as find time to visit my parents and seester. Gah. I'm not even showered yet. Great start, Angela. I slept late because I was up until 2 AM watching movies/TV shows.
We saw We Are Marshall, which was very good, but somehow (shockingly) not quite as moving as a lot of other sports films. It was still an excellent movie, of course. I recommend it to anyone who likes football or sports movies (I'm a huge fan of the latter, though I'm bored to tears with the former).
Then I watched the second episode of Avatar. I had to work when it was on TV, so I downloaded it. ♥ So lovely. Zuko is breaking my heart. Iroh's too, I think. And his own, surely. Though Emo!Zuko and Emo!Mai were delightful, I must say. Katara's a hottie - that's already been established - but egads her Fire Nation outfit is wonderful. That girl was *made* for midriff. ^__^ Aang liked it too, which makes me mega-happy.
Finally, I watched the two-hour last episode of Hana Kimi. Gods, I'm so glad that's over. It was good enough to keep me watching, but not good enough to keep me excited by it. It's such a pale, miserable shadow of the manga. I hoped for more between Sano and Mizuki, but I guess beggars can't be choosers, huh? Seriously, though, once it was established that she was a girl, you'd think their room would've become a Den o'Sin. If it'd been me, it would've. But then, I guess I'm a bit of a slut, so that doesn't apply. ::giggles:: I didn't really expect that much (though the manga ratchets up the UST quite a bit more), but the Japanese habit of close-mouthed kisses in their live-action shows is very frustrating. Most of these kisses are nothing but long periods of time where two people's lips are pressed together. Completely un-sexy and un-romantic. At least 1940s Hollywood (when faced with a similar level of censorship) learned how to tilt the heads and such so that you could *imagine* a real kiss.
Ah! Well, I have a lot to do, so I guess I shouldn't be fussing about kissing. I hope everyone is having a wonderous day!!
