A TDL Gift Exchange

H-hi guys. So, I was looking into gift exchanges to participate in. And thought that, hey, maybe, there should be one for TDL . (That  with the prospect of going without goblinmarket_sw makes me unbearable heartbroken.)

ANYWAY, I went any made a gift exchange for The Demon's Lexicon! Any tips about how to actually run one of these things would be totally welcome.

I think the biggest tip I can give you is to run this through the Archive of our Own. They will honestly do like, all the hard work for you - matching assignments, and all that stuff. Here is a tutorial on how to run a gift exchange through there :)

Belated response is belated. I checked out the site and found it really nifty! (And then I somehow spent hours reading fanfic. Oops.) Since it looks like the gift exchange is going to really small, I think I might just stick to LJ, since it'll be pretty easy to pair up the ones who sign up. (Well, ignore the plural, more like...the one who signed up.)

Just a couple of thoughts -- maybe (if they are cool with it!) ask the Ship Wars mods if they would mind promoting this on goblinmarket_sw; I'm not sure that everyone who follows that comm follows this one... :)

Also the impending deadline might be a little intimdiating; sign-ups for holiday exchanges usually run a bit earlier than this, I think. How would you feel about maybe making this one a Valentine's exchange? That'd give everyone a bit more time and maybe more people would feel comfortable signing up. :)

I wouldn't mind switching it to a Valentine's Day exchange. That sounds kind of adorable, plus it could give people more time to recover from the Ship Wars. I'll find out if the person who signed up for it, would be all right with the switch, and if she is, then I'll change it.

Advertising with a pretty banner might help, too! (If you do decide to make it a Valentine's exchange, you should totally use your awesome Nick ♥ Sword drawing. XD If you want any help on that front, like adding text and making banners and promo icons or anything, let me know!)

Yooou. You are full of good ideas. I just whipped a quick Nick x Sword = OTP icon since Alan in a Santa hat doesn't quite fit in.

I would not be opposed to help though! Especially with making pretty things. There's waaay less of a rush now, but yeah.
