your own creative ventures?

After the most recent endless chat, a comment or two got me curious. How many fish have stories they're trying to craft of their own? If so, care to share? This way encouragement can come on those long, cold nights of staring blankly at a computer screen and/or a piece of paper. Plus, I just think people making stories are nifty. While I have started and abandoned many less than fabulous stories, at the moment I'm trying for fanfiction of epic length and poems. I really enjoy writing poems :)

What stories have you abandoned? Sometimes you can try to rework old things! And yay for poems! The fanfiction ain't too bad either ;) What's that one about?

To date? I think the most idiotic idea was a mary sue extravagansa based on a mix of Avatar the Last Airbender and Lord Of The Rings... It didn't go well. Never put elemental control of fire and goddess-like-powers in the hands of spoilt roman-esque princesses is all I'm saying.

At the moment I'm attempting a Mortal Instruments fanfic based on the idea that the Lightwoods stayed in Idris after City of Glass and the people to stay in the New York Institute after them. It's still basically in the planning stages.
