It had happened again.
Somehow weeks had gone by since Lavender and Marlow had managed a day to see each other. She didn't understand how it had happened, somehow both of their schedules working completely against them. But there was so much to talk about and so much to catch up on- and Lavender was pregnant for Merlin's sake. Surely Lavender had picked up a baby naming book at this point and the two of them could go through it, giggling over herbal tea and the chocolate she'd stashed in her purse as an apology.
Which was what led her to the front door of the flat Roger and Lavender shared, Marlow able to sneak away from the castle before dinner following her free Tuesday afternoon.
She was just dying to tell someone about Zacharias- someone who might actually listen and care instead of roll their eyes and lecture her. Lavender had never been that person for her.
So, when she knocked, she couldn't help the wide smile that tugged at her lips.
