rhcoopah: i sent Nancy Pelosi a letter
rhcoopah: this am
rhcoopah: I feel better now
marlondew: what'd it say?
rhcoopah: lemme go dig
rhcoopah: short
rhcoopah: Ms. Pelosi:
It was with significant optimism that I looked forward to your rise to ascendancy in the wake of the recent elections.
This was especially so in light of the overwhelming evidence that the chief executive has been less than truthful in the exercise of his responsibilities. In this regard, the war in Iraq is only a case in point. One need only turn to his environmental record to see yet again a communicative web of double-speak clearly designed to mask both the true level of concern as well as the true interests to which he is beholden.
rhcoopah: Of course, I am quite certain you are aware of all of this down to each excruciating detail. I do not not doubt your capacity for intellection and good judgment.
rhcoopah: Given that is the case, I am baffled how (in the face of such an abiding history of executive disingenuity and non-veracity) you could not call the chief executive (and those around him) to task.
rhcoopah: My worry is that the decision not to do so is more a matter of so-called 'moderation' in name of self-protection than a matter of 'what's best for the nation'.
In my humble view (and I am only one citizen among millions) at the very least a full and public airing of the possibility of impeachment would bring forward information that would allow the electorate to see for themselves whether such action is appropriate and not leave this decision to committee elites who swiftly decide what's best.
Respectfully and with hope,
