Got a call today from the grandparents. $1000 gets me the car. I also have to get it safetied. i can work with that. Color me happy! Ok, so it's a 10 year old Japanese station wagon.... not exactly a "cool" car, and it probably needs a new water pump. I can work with this, though.
So, just 3 more days of being a moocher of rides, then I can go back to driving to work. No more trips to Brandon, though, I don't think. I gotta go easy on gas and all those expenses. I think a break from Brandon is order anyways. I've been out there so much lately. It's not that I have a problem with the people, but spending last Sat. here in the peace and quiet was a nice break. It was really good to have a day just to kick back and be a slug. Trips to Brandon leave me feeling rushed. And there is so much I need to do around here.
July 7th... day shifts. I'm looking forward to that....7am starts, though. That's gonna be tough for the first couple of weeks. Hope I don't fuck it up. Lord knows, I'm no morning person. And the manger - well, I hope she is good to work with. I suspect that I'll be doing most of her job for her. We'll see, though.
