it's time to shine . . .

Ticking down the minutes until the Gold Medal game.

The proud Canadian in me has been jumping up and down and cheering for the entire Olympics, and it's really taken me this long to discover how much I love being Canadian. It's just sort-of stirred up this patriotic streak that I didn't know I had.

And clearly, everyone else has been feeling it too, because I strolled on over to The Bay yesterday in search of more Team Canada gear and there was nothing. And I mean nothing. They'd been cleaned out, with the exception of a few kids t-shirts and baby onesies.

I just love that everyone's getting so into the games, and it sucks that they're already over.

THUS, I am freakishly excited for this hockey game and will be biting my fingernails until it starts.

(Used my Cory Monteith icon because of his sexy jacket ;) He is Canadian, I am Canadian, it's like fate . . .)

EDIT: CANADA! 26 SECONDS, PEOPLE. My parents are looking at me funny because I'm talking to myself about it. But, hey, they're playing "Don't Stop Believing" while the announcers are talking, so it's all good.

We'd better win, boys. Don't let me down.

EDIT2: YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! TEAM CANADA WINS! SIDNEY CROSBY! Ugh, God, my heart, it's beating with Canadian pride :)
