A/N: This mix is born out of my opinion that there is more to Santana than just the bitchy, generally mean character we see on the show. Don't get me wrong - she is a fierce bitch, and I love it. But I also strongly believe that there's something underneath it all. Unable to come to grips with the feelings you have for your best friend, who is dating someone else and is also a girl? That's Santana. Her possessiveness of Puck, who without some girl threatening their "friends-with-benefits" thing, she really doesn't pay much attention to. And then there's the whole thing with Quinn, who is supposed to be her best friend, but is instead someone Santana views as a constant threat. And, perhaps even more telling, Santana's unneccessary boob-job. Plastic surgery when she had a perfectly fine body beforehand.
I think she's lonely, and I think she's got a skewed perception of herself that she tries to mask with her sex appeal and disdain for people. And I made this mix to explore that.
TL;DR Despite her HBIC-ness, Santana is secretly angst-ridden. Girl's sitting on a whole pile of insecurities. And that is why I made this mix.
