I am at home.

I am eating yummy homemade pozole!

I "browned" (more like whitened) the outside of some stew pork (in chunks already) that was on sale at King Soopers, with McCormick's chicken seasoning.
I put it in a crock pot.
I put in most of a humongous can of Mexican-style hominy (which, I doscovered, is not the same as chick peas, and quite yummy on their own.)
I put in some chicken broth until it was close to the top.

Then my husband said, "What about the jalapenos? My mom always chops one up and puts one in hers." I said, "WTF? You don't like jalapenos; you don't like anything spicy." Of course he replied, "Ususally not, except in pozole." :P

My husband chopped up 2 or 3 jalapenos (one wasn't nearly enough) and put them in the crock pot too. (This was actually after the cooking because we had to go out and get some jalapenos.)

I left it on high for 2 hours, and then on low for the rest of the day.

Yummy Yummy Yummy! Dinner/lunch/snack for a week, and the on-sale pork was about $5, the giant can of hominy was $5, the can of jalapenos was $2, and the broth was about $2--but I had some leftover, so it was practically $0. Still, under $15! You can also make it with chicken, and if you want to be really authentic you can pull the meat off the bone. And hominy is incredible--I've no idea if it's kosher, but it's about 60 calories per 1/2 cup, and has way more fiber and fewer carbs than I would have guessed for being one of those filler white foods.
