D.C. Sales Tax Holiday Starts This Friday
(11-24-04) The District of Columbia will offer another "Sales Tax Holiday" beginning at 12:01 a.m. Friday, Nov. 26, and ending at midnight on Sunday, Dec. 5. During this 10-day period, D.C. shoppers will be exempt from the 5.75 percent sales tax for shoes, clothing and accessories costing $100 or less.
have y'all seen the new coinstar commercial where all the spare change collects itself and forms a shoe? it's great. I love it. it should win an award. I ahve a big 2 liter bottle of change... might just bring it to a coinstar. 9% commission... hell, better than counting change myself.
oh and get this! in seattle, philly, and Vegas you can put that loose change on a starbux gift card. fuck yeah!
course I'd probably end up putting $70 on a starbux card and then later curse myself when I'm hungry and want clothes or whatnot but all i've got is this starbux card worth $50. and a gallon of latte just will not satisfy.

I'm looking for a video of that commercial, but maybe you'll see it soon enough.
ok back to work.
