Such lovely imagery, you've painted quite the picture! I especially loved Moths caress cheeks and sated beasts lean in close.

. I do hope I can ground the reader into the story. I am so pleased you felt immersed in the setting. Thank you for sharing that with me.

The seduction and trepidation of entering your fable/myth world(s) are singular experiences in themselves but the added treat of your visual imagery makes the entire journey a lasting memory. I’m so happy you’re here.

Your poems always call for repeated readings - they're very dense in a way I appreciate. It feels like the subject is... not secondary, but maybe not quite as important, as the imagery you create. And that imagery is the most immediate thing here, though there's more under the surface. I can see everything clearly and you paint a beautiful picture. :)

Thank you kindly for the thorough feedback. You are perceptive. I think this piece is a short story, but time didn't allow me enough time to craft one. I am more practiced at churning out a poem, so that is what this became. This one did start with sensation, the way slick ice feels under your foot, the way snow smells, so it makes sense that the imagery is forefront. I suspect I will be revisiting my frost shade night maiden another time to see what she has to impart.
