Heehee. I know exactly what you mean. Everything sounds brilliant in my own head.

Things have been going well. I've been keeping very busy between work and trying to write the dissertation. Not studying the dead people as much as I'd like, but having fun learning about California Indians.

I was invited to study with a Kumayaa medicine man long time ago, but alas, that never worked out. Have you done anything fun? Like get chased through fields by drunk injuns with shotguns? Long story...

No, but I have heard that the folks at Santa Rosa have run off the firefighters with shotguns. Among them apparently was Chief Thirsty Horse who, of course, is Filipino.
