I just got out of the shower, Im sitting here listening to some A.F.I., its been a long time since I listened to them. I remember listening to them in high school back when they were more of a dark punk band. Ive heard the new stuff when it has come out, its pretty cool especially with the integration of the electronics into it. I also just found out that 2 members of the band have a new electro side project called Blaqk Audio, pretty coll stuff actually, assemblage 23 remixed them for their debut album due out in August. Ive been wracking my brain the last few days with the newer material Ive been working on, a lot of it is almost there, uts just missing something, some spark of emotion that Im just not getting. One of my personal goals with this album was/is to try and have things sound less stiff and convey more emotion in general. It can be very difficult doing all of the writting sometimes, all of the responsibility is on me, there are a lot of people waiting on the new CD, more then I ever thought would care about the music I was writting, Im really out to meet my goals and put out a solid disc that can bring the band more into the light. Maybe Im just being a frustrated artist type?
