SABRINA BRYAN COMING BACK
CHEETAH GIRL TO 'DANCE' AGAIN
By DEBORAH STARR SEIBEL
November 12, 2007 -- 'CHEETAH Girl" Sabrina Bryan is gone but hardly forgotten.
The producers of ABC's "Dancing With The Stars" may bring her back to the dance floor for a special encore performance in the next two weeks.
ABC declined yesterday to talk about its plans for Sabrina, saying only that all of the celebrity dancers will be back for the finale later this month.
But Bryan's dancing partner, Mark Ballas, let it slip: "We're probably going to do a demonstration dance on one of the results shows."
Last Monday night, the first night Sabrina was gone, the surviving couples all wore cheetah-paw tattoos to show solidarity with the dancer they all felt was dumped before her time.
"I actually saw most of the cast on Monday night after the show," says Bryan. "And I saw that they were all still wearing the cheetah paws. It was such a surprise and an honor."
Bryan's elimination was the most shocking in the the show's five-season history.
An odds-on favorite to win among many fans, Bryan was sent packing two weeks ago.
For Ballas, who has become romantically involved with Bryan, the early elimination has become intensely personal.
"It's my first season on the show and she was like my protege," says Ballas, who holds several international Latin dance championships. "I was trying to make the best dancer possible. And she was the best."
