We Go Wild for Sabrina Bryan

Disney has a long tradition of creating huge stars--Kurt Russell, Justin Timberlake and Lindsay Lohan to name just a few--but I've always wondered what it would be like to transition into adulthood when you first find fame as part of the Mouse House. My questions were answered when Sabrina Bryan stopped by our offices to talk about life as a Cheetah Girl, her stint on Dancing with the Stars and her passion for real estate.

She may be tiny, but I could tell right off the bat that Sabrina is one of those rare individuals who has boundless energy--a good thing since she was in town to hype the August 22nd premiere of the Cheetah Girls One World movie, talk about her upcoming book, Princess of Gossip, and play host to a gaggle of little girls at the launch of the Color Me Gemz line at Toys 'R' Us in Times Square. All of these ventures cater to the pre-teen set, but Sabrina is in no hurry to shake her young fans in favor of an older demographic. "It's nice when a parent comes up and thanks me for doing what I do," she said about her kid-friendly image. Still, she did pick up plenty of grown up fans during her spicy stint on Dancing with the Stars--where rumors of a romance between she and partner Mark Ballas were the only thing that took up more tabloid column inches than her shocking ouster from the show--and says there's no reason why she can't continue to be a role model as she looks to take on new challenges.

While Sabrina is working hard, she also knows how to enjoy the fruits of her labor, even if she does have to practice delayed gratification. "I have a weakness for expensive bags, cars and real estate," she admitted, when I asked her how she rewards herself for a job well done. "I bought a condo in Las Vegas, but I've been so busy I've never even spent the night there!" This Orange County native also likes to share her taste for the finer things with others--as I walked her to the door, she asked me if she had time to stop by the Gucci boutique on Fifth Avenue before headng to her next meeting. "I have to pick something up for [fellow Cheetah Girl] Kiely's birthday," she explained. Now that's my kind of girl.--Bronwyn Barnes
