(no subject)
- I'm having trouble sleeping, which is a huge coincidence considering the song that I've been currently listening to (and diggin the chorus too lol). I think this is the latest I've been up in a lonnnnnnng time. I blame having to wake up at 6:30 when I was still working on depriving me of my old late-night habits.
- It's gonna be an unbelievable week of activities. My first ever completely free week from work/school since summer began, and Joe's last week here before he moves back. There's just not enough hours in a day. I've done around 2/3 of the things I've wanted to do on my list, and have another 4 things from the list already scheduled to do this week.
- I bought a camera today, but it kinda seems almost 2 months too late, even 2 days too late. I always wanted to chronicle my daily/nightly adventures ala Dave Attell's Insomniac, but I also wanted to capture a lot of the moments/highlights of this summer that made this summer what it is. It's sad realizing that it's quickly coming to an end, and it'll be without those of us whose summer already ended.
- I've been talking with a lot of people recently about the topic of love, and dates, and soulmates, and that sort of thing. From it all, I'm remembering a quote from one of my favorite movies that went, "No journey is too great when one finds what one seeks". I used to think about that line whenever I had negative thoughts about school, but now I'm realizing its connections to love as well.
- I've noticed that in times of trouble or tests of character, sometimes the only difference between you and the person next to you is the attitude that you approach the situation with. Just be positive and be confident and things will just take care of themselves.
- Next time I'm stopped at an intersection and there's a really attractive girl in the car next to me I'ma say, "Excuse me, I was trying to get to the freeway but I got lost in your eyes, can you help me out?". Then I'll give the most charming smile I can possibly muster after saying a pickup line like that. Think it'll work? Nah didn't think so either hahaha
