I was reading this article in Time about how there are no more big, successful romantic movies anymore. It was saying something like how jumping through hoops to be with that special someone just isn't as believable as it was before. With the age of online social networks, meeting new people is as simple as click of the mouse. I mean, people still watch romantic movies, but the days of them hitting it big at the box office like Titanic are over. It's telling that one of the most successful "romance" movies that struck a chord with most people last year was The Breakup.

I was saddened to see the truths presented in the argument.

Anyways, this weekend is about to be intense. Tomorrow, I'm going to Davis with Joe for supposedly a pretty big party. It's kinda funny, but I'm sure me and my brother will be the two of the few filipino people there hahah. But I do also enjoy the fact that it will probably won't be all ghettoed out, and I'll be able to meet a wide variety of people from everywhere.
Then at around 8 in the morning, we'll begin the drive to SF to meet up with David and his cousins to go to Rock The Bells! I don't know how I'll find the energy, but trust me, I will. I'm looking forward mostly to seeing The Roots perform live, Immortal Technique, Blackalicious, Hiero, and of course Wu-tang and Rage Against The Machine. Ugh, why the hell does MF Doom have to be on the same time as Wu-Tang.. I'm torn!

This btw is going to be my first concert experience. Crazy huh? It's like I'm probably setting myself up for being able to top my first time.

Oh then it's my mom's birthday on Sunday (bbq at the house with family), then dancing at night (at the Funks workshop). Yeayuh for another action-packed weekend.
