This weekend, I went to a speakeasy in the city with 3 of my really good friends; Gavin, Nhunhu, and Lana.
The speakeasy itself was one of the dopest things I've been to in a long time and definitely a date place I can't wait to take someone. The speakeasy really takes on its character of the 1920's in the time of prohibition and secrecy. But I knew I'd like it the instant I walked in when they were playing pretty much my all-time favorite love song: Louis Armstrong's A Kiss To Build A Dream On.

I realized as much as I love the lyrics of that song, and the imagery that is conveyed through them, it's the trumpet which makes that song.

It's through the music that you can just, hear, exactly what he means by what a kiss can do for him. You can hear that rising feeling that comes from your gut and goes through your heart and makes your head all lightheaded. You can hear the hope. There's something about a kiss, when it's with that person, that can just make the world feel so right.

Give me your lips for just a moment
And my imagination will make that moment live
Give me what you alone can give
A kiss to build a dream on
