This weekend was my cousin-in-law jennifer's wedding on Captiva Island. holy geeze..it was crazy. Friday night was the party/dinner and the yacht club where I had the best ice cream in the world and listened to jimmy buffet covers. On saturday the wedding wasn't until 5pm so we went shopping at all the "shops" and just drove around. I got a really neat swimsuit at a surf shop and used it when we got back to the hotel. across the street was the heated swimming pool know as the Gulf of Mexico so I ran down there and swam for like 2 hours while my mom looked for shells. The water there is unbelievable. It's so warm when you get in, and so warm when you get out. Perfect! Then came the wedding. It lasted about 45 minutes and was really nice and meaningful. The flower girl was this little girl named Sydney. She was always waving and smiling..it was great. After the wedding was the reception at the golf resort. I tried alligator! wooo hoo. It actually wasn't bad, although it was covered in bread crumbs. We then had this extravagant dinner and had a few dances with ma. Mom got major props from everyone since she made all the jewelry for the brides maides, so she was having a ball. I had to keep telling everyone I met that I was going to Gulf Coast University and they would always that I just got out of High School...and then I tell them that its my fourth year and they don't believe me. Mom said that it was the same for her when she was my age, then one day her hair turned white and everything changed. haha...so all in all, it was a beautiful wedding and weekend. and now I have relatives I can visit whenever i want, which is great.
