Well, I guess Elisa went home. Her place is cleared out now. I dunno who knew her, but I thought you might like to know.

Huh, guess that means I have the smithy to myself now.

Maybe they're clearing the place out to make room for more people?

Kind of a depressing way of look at it, isn't it?

Well I think it'd be kind of silly to assume they were just sending them all back just out of the kindness of their hearts.

No, I suppose not.

... I'm sorry about your friend.

It's alright. He's probably safer back where he came from than here.

Even so, I'm sure you'll miss him. I know that there's a lot of people back home that I'd do almost anything to see again.

What was your home like, anyway? Do you mind telling me about it?

Well, I guess it wouldn't hurt. I'm from the South Pole, part of the Water Tribe. It's a pretty small place, when I left with the Avatar there was only about two dozen people still living there. Now that the war is over though, my dad and the other warriors have all come back and we've been able to rebuild a little. My Gran Gran used to tell me what it was like before the war. It was a huge city, made entirely of snow and ice. I've always kind of wanted to see what it was like back then.

A whole city made of ice?! It must be really cold! Probably even colder than Drachma. Wow.

You'd be surprised at how good of an insulator snow and ice can be. It actually stayed pretty warm inside. Not that you'd want to walk around in shorts or anything, but still.

I'm not too fond of the cold. Resembool was in the south of Amestris, so we never had any harsh winters like this.

The winter here has been kind of nice. It makes it seem more like home. Still, if you want harsh, try getting lost in the desert with no water.

Yeah, that doesn't sound too fun.

So what's it like where you're from?
