[As if it wasn't bad enough that she'd been spending the day before doing one of her least favorite chores from back - dressing and tanning game - Luceti had decided to play a little trick on Katara and turn her wings blood red. And then the sun didn't rise - or when it did... solar eclipses weren't supposed to last this long. They'd planned

A princess went on vacation with her family. They took a boat across the ocean, to an island in the north. The princess was lonely, having been isolated to her family and protectors most of her life, and with the strife of the times she felt even more so. Then one day, she met a man. [There's a smile in his voice, as he tells this.]

What happened next? Did they get married?

The games had long since been allowed to be done by proxy: nobles hired powerful men from all over the world to win for them, instead of fighting themselves for the right to wed the princess. It was a corrupt system, slowly leading to the downfall of their country.
They had to part ways, but the man vowed to see her again. Time passed....

Then as the matches were called out, a man stepped forward. It was the same man she'd met in the islands. He'd crossed the sea with only a sword to his name, leaving behind all he knew, and had entered the games to fight for her hand against all the odds. The nobles were outraged. A man with no last name, a lone warrior from nowhere, dared to fight for their princesses hand? They called him a barbarian. The princess however, was awed at his devotion, and quietly wished him luck.

They soon married, and they were very happy. They went on to create a great many changes in the country. The princess, now queen and free from the senate’s binds, led their country to a golden age, and the man, now her knight, became the best general the country had seen in many generations. They even ended a war with their combined abilities, the man with his knowledge of battle and the queen with her quick wit in politics. They had a son and daughter, and lived happily for many years.
