[After a good cry, some good advice, and throwing down with the whole of Luceti against Aku the other day, Katara is feeling much more like herself. And she is on a mission. She can be found mid-afternoon heading towards whatever store in Luceti sells paint.

[The prospect of color and perhaps painting catches the ear of one little poncle, and - as a painter - she just has to inquire as to what's going on. With a smile, of course, art and painting always puts a smile on her face.]

Are you painting something, miss? I could be of assistance, if you need help with colors.

[Help, yes! Assistance would be good! Don't mind her as her pride won't let her admit that. Have a rueful sort of laugh.]

Yes, I'm going to repaint the living room. I don't think we've met. I'm Katara.

I'm Miyabi, but you can call me Miya for short, if you like. It's a pleasure to speak with you, Miss Katara. [She bows her head graciously to the little camera in her journal. Good manners make good acquaintances, or so she was taught.]

As for your house...perhaps a soft, light yellow? It'd give the room a bit of brightness, and yellow is supposed to the color that instills happiness.

[Yay, manners! They're so rare in Katara's world.]

It's a pleaure to meet you too, Miya! And yellow instills happiness? Really? That's great! I was just thinking of going with flax...

What sort of colors do you think go with that?

[Miyabi blinks. Flax? Hm...she doesn't really know what that is, seeing as it doesn't really grow where she's from. But, if it's anything like tatami, then--]

...Perhaps a dark color. I don't really know what flax is, but if it's a light color, usually a dark color like brown, or black can bring it out. But it can't be too much, though! For a room, I suggest just making the outlines near the floor or ceiling a darker color, perhaps.

It should be simple and not too extravagant, if you use that room for entertaining. Heh...I'm not very good at painting houses, just portraits, really.

Brown, huh? [Too earth-kingdomy.] What about a really light blue?

Portraits? You're a painter?

Aa, usually a light color like cream or beige is brought out by a bit of a darker one, such as a rich brown or black. A color to compliment also works quite well. Like, say you do use blue. Depending on the shade and hue, orange would be your best choice. It really depends on what you want the main color of the room to be. Then you build off from there with the accents.

Ah, yes! I-I'm really not that good, but I paint portraits of the thirteen Brush Gods back home where I'm from. I was training to become a Celestial Envoy, a messenger of the gods, before I was taken here.
