Truly amazing weekend! It started off on Friday when everyone showed up at the house to help us prepare for the Garage Sale on Saturday...yes another one... Tim M brought food...Thank you Tim for the excellent Fried Shrimp, sloppy joes, and teriyaki chicken! One-handed, he still cooks better than anyone else I know.
I got to bed late, woke up around 7ish and was in a mild daze throughout the day. We did pretty well, in spite of the fact that it was the official "City of Santa Clara Garage Sale Day". Timeh had to leave to take care of a family emergency. Everything was alright and he returned later in the evening once everything was smoothed out. After the sale, people hung around and played a very interesting round of Asshole. My friend Jim from work arrived and joined in on the fun. Since Leila was there, we couldn't say "Asshole", and changed it to "Apple" to much amusement and confusion around the table. Many rounds of mind-erasers, mudslides, and whatever else we could concoct later, we ended up in the pool. Timeh, Roger, and Kendall stayed over the night.
This morning, we woke up, save Timeh, and joined Michael and his friend Aldo at IHOP for breakfast. Kristi, Leila, Michael, and Aldo drove to SF to go to the zoo, while Roger, Kendall and I went back home to sunbathe. I'm a little red, but that should turn to tan by Tuesday. Roger left soon after we returned home. Timeh joined us outside for a bit before he left. I got a text page from Chris, whom I haven't heard from since Tuesday after my birthday... Kendall and I took a nap after roasting in the midday sun. We woke about 4:30p and decided to go see Mamma Mia at Cupertino Square (aka. Vallco, I don't think I'll ever get used to the new name). He really enjoyed the movie, being my second time seeing it, I still found it hysterical in places, touching in others, and overall a nice "summertime romp" of a film. I really have fun hanging out with him and am really glad I am getting to know him better. We came back home, he left and Kristi and I settled into this weeks episode of "I Love Money" aka. "Tragic, Trashy, and Too Much".
