This is very TOKesque but I've been thinking...
If we can't trust our perceptions to recall the past with 100% accuracy, then how can we compare between past and present? We can never ultimately tell if our situation has improved because our recolection of the past is blurred by the bias of our perception. We often remember only what we want to remember and forget all the bad. But all in all, is this really a bad thing? Do we want to remember the past for what it was... or for what we thought it was? Do we want the future to be what we percieve as better, or have fonder memories of a past that we're not sure was real?
Regardless, I hope to have fond memories of the years to come... and the years which have gone, even if my perception of them isn't quite the same.
I love you guys. <3.!<3.
