Fahrenheit 9/11

I went to see Fahrenheit 9/11 today. It was rather boring, a re-hash of what I already know to be true of the current un-elected dictatorship. One new thing I learned - Paul Wolfowitz uses his own saliva to gel (groom) his hair - absolutely disgusting.

Other movies I need to see before it's too late for the box office:

The Terminal ( Read more... )

I kept all my text books. Heck, I keep all my books, including novels I didn't find too interesting. No wonder I have no closet space. As for Fahrenheit 9/11, I'll wait for it to be released on cable. Bah.

Me too, except.. eh, now I need another bookcase because the one I bought not more than a couple months ago is already full. I suppose I should just stay the hell away from bookstores, but then there is Amazon. ~sigh~

Well, with amazon, you're getting your stuff at list price unless you're going through their Z-Shops on there. I love how you can take advantage of all the deals on half.com. When I was still in school, I would rape, pillage, and plunder that site before any new semester started. Some books at the fixed-price, horrible bookstore were at least $100. I could get the same book, brand new, in shrink-wrap for about $15 on half.com if I was dilligent enough. Thank goodness for e-tail!

I have no closet space, floor space, etc...

I must let the library become my archive of choice.

Ewwww!!! The library... Ugh! I can't stand those places. I'm not a germaphobe, but germ-conscious. When I step into a library, I just think of all the books people touched, sneezed upon, coughed on, spilled things on -- whether that be liquids, solids, body fluids, etc. And then you have people that like reading in the bathroom. The musty odors the books eminate! I'm waiting for unsanitary surprise to be dished upon opening some of the novels. Aaack!

Don't get me wrong, I am not a prude, but library books are essentially like rental shoes at the bowling alley. And, with the latter, at least they're supposed to disinfect 'em.

I catch something every time I get on a plane, usually the return flight. I guess my immune system is weaker after the vacation. Libraries don't bother me as I was raised on them (mother was a librarian). Public toilets on the other hand...

As often as I take the subway, I don't want to hold onto the poles or anything when riding it. With all the hacking, snorting, sneezing, wheezing, sniffling, and whatnot in the winter months, you just knw there's a thin layer of congealed and gelatinous viral content over everything. Yum!

I'm one of those people who at least get one cold per summer -- icky -- and it's miserable. I'm fine with pissing in public bathrooms, assuming I don't have to touch anything.
