I am clearly going to need to be disenfranchised for the following reasons:
1) Eric Pickles taking Dimbleby to task for speculating when there wasn't a single vote in
2) agreeing with Mandy that whilst Labour weren't popular the Tories should stop claiming they were. total votes up total party popularity down
3) thinking D Steele is vaguely cute

There have been some really good pros - George galloway going, the possibility that we might get some sensible discussion, the alliance result, a token green (I think), the poor BNP vote. also I can't help but think the difficulty the Scots and Welsh will have of holding the English to ransome - I loved the chutzpah of the welsh having a specific figure as the price for their votes! Lots more negatives - The beeb should be completely ashamed of themselves for their obsession with personality. No one got the choice of voting for the 3 leaders - that would be somewhere foreign.
Dimbleby looked completely past it and made me squirm in a Brucie on Strictly sort of way. I think there were some good constituency MP's that got the boot. Our offically slipping into 3rd world status with the shocking disenfranchising.

It is mind you the first election I can remember where all three parties are admitting that they have lost as opposed to claiming miraclosly they've all one.

and interestingly at 8 this am the best coverage was CNN who had grasped it was about parties not individuals and predicted that the Tories would form a minority govt cos they were too big to allied against and too different for people to align with them. also that the notional figure for a majority was actually 3 lower because the shinners wouldn't vote. I clearly am hallucinating CNN and Pickles making sense and Mandy making me laugh

no idea how to explain it to the kids anyone got any ideas?
