Saturday - footy training ahhhh.. Chris called me late Friday, asking me to fill in for someone and do sports training for the senior team for a couple of hours in the morning.. So the next morning, I rocked up, was pointed to the lower field by the coach's wife, then entered the locker rooms where the guys were getting changed. I wasn't sure of the team that I'd be helping out, as I'd only met them once briefly. There were about 4 or 5 guys in the locker room at the time, none of whom I immediately recognised. I saw another sports trainer in the room and said "hey, Chris asked me to help out today, do any of the guys need taping?" She asked the guys and a few of them needed their ankles done, which I started on right away. As more and more guys entered the locker rooms, I began to think "surely by now I'd see at least 1 familiar face.." By the time the whole team arrived, I was pretty sure I hadn't met these guys before. Filled with a sense of dread, I calmly walked out of the locker rooms and went to the next room down the hall. As soon as I walked in, everyone looked at me and I recognised at least 3 of the guys.
I had been in the wrong teams' locker room...
And I'd taped about 3 guys' ankles. The enemies' ankles.
As I walked into the correct locker room, MY team mates just thought I was running a bit late. I quickly helped with the last few guys that needed stuff taped then headed out to the field. I'm sure I saw some of the opponents with puzzled looks on their faces, thinking "what's he doing over there now? Isn't he supposed to be helping our side out?" ahhhhh..
Sunday - Adam called on Saturday evening asking if I would like to model in a fashion show that he's putting on next weekend. Initially, I thought it'd clash with exams, but it turns out it's just before SWOTVAC. So yeah! I'm gonna be modelling some of his latest and greatest threads in a show on Sunday night at Veludo's on Acland St, St Kilda, starting from 9pm. If anyone wants to come......
here's an invite!!!
We had a rehearsal at his place in Geelong (omfg - I drove over 200km total for the day!) which took me about an hour and a half to get to.. eck! He has awesome clothes though. Very rough, street wear.. lots of gaping holes, shreaded denim and checkerboard stenciling. I <3 it. Anyways, it should be a fun night..
What else what else what else.. I didn't go to Uni today. Instead, choosing to sit at home and study. Which has turned into LJ-fest-2006. Har. I'll start reading some BDA lecture notes soon.. (ish)
Let me know if you wanna come to Veludos - it'll be an awesome night. Adam always plans these amazing shows...
