a season ticket on a one-way ride. glee. jesse/rachel. pg-13. they are talented and attractive and life should be their musical-but only if they get a set that doesn’t suck.
Rachel/Jesse is one of those pairings that make me wish fanon was canon. I've pretty much made up canon for them in my head because, well, Show!Them will probably break my heart and I'm delusional lalalalala I can't hear you.
But anyway, this was great! Your Jesse voice was pitch perfect and the idea of Jesse whacking off to Funny Girl is priceless.
This is not a problem. Jesse St. James is to be worshipped and adored. And to have stuff made up about him that should totally, totally be canon (like, I love the idea that Shelby hits on him and he's like "whatever". And that he really admired Rachel's talent at sectionals, but of course he wouldn't tell her). Man, these two. I just love their mutual geekery and self-absorption.
Between being musical theatre geeks and being, well, teenage, they're like all my favorite brands of narcissism and intrinsically hilarious intensity wrapped up in one.
And, ahaha, your icon never gets old. FUCKING CUTE FAST FOOD. They're the best.
He mourned not being a baritone, at first. But then he realized that it’s always been the tenors who get all the girls.
AH HA HA FANTASTIC. So true, and so very Jesse. Oh, this was such a lovely piece - so pitch-perfect in characterisation and voice and so sweetly melancholy and sharp at the same time. LOVE ♥
(I feel like part of why I love them so much is, like, theater backlog and chorus backlog and their geekery is totally my brand of geek. Oh, theater kids. And double oh, hot tenors.)
IDK WHY YOU HAVE NEVER WRITTEN FIC BEFORE BECAUSE THIS IS SO FUCKING GOOD OH MY GOD. I DON'T EVEN READ GLEE FIC. I DON'T REALLY READ FIC AT ALL. WRITE MORE PLEASE.
(Ilovejonathangroffsomuchomg)
and lol jerking off to funny girl IT'S SO TRUE IT MUST BE CANON
Also I love the idea that he's trying to steal her talent, not ruin the mckinley high glee club, because everyone would be nothing without her. THAT'S MY NEW CANON.
I KNOW. It seems not implausible! (Hurrah, I can tinhat this pairing exactly as long as it takes the show to prove me wrong!) And I believe in the two of them for the time being, because come on, he wouldn't be being such a ~heartbroken little diva boy if he was pure manipulation. I believe in him having an agenda. I also believe in him and Rachel being legitimately awesome together.
Okay, I don't know what to say other than I love Jesse and I love you for this. The whole thing was so musical, it was fantastic. Seriously amazing work.
