It feels like I've been away forever, I tell you. I have so much to say and (as usual) no time to say it. Let me be brief...
What Mark has learned
- Much about computer programs he only had a passing interest in before In Bad Dreams
- That a contents page should NOT take 16 hours to create (see above)
- That old people are in a rush these days too[1]
- That one of the bands I have tipped for album of the year have a very appropriate name[2]
- That
maddoc_deniz's mother did have it right when she was concerned about her son watching Star Wars[3] - That Star Wars Lego II is rather addictive[4]
- That if you mention writing to him he tends to tense up, whereas editing projects make him smile...
- That he can now do two Assyrian dances instead of one[5][6]
What Mark has done
- Danced like an idiot at his brother-in-law's wedding at the weekend
- Managed to appropriate a head cold that has made concentrating for more than an hour at a time virtually impossible[7]
- Officially withdrawn from the 3-Day Novel Contest for 2007[8]
- Come up with two new anthology ideas[9]
- Bought a second-hand pair of speakers from a close friend at much more than I had budgeted a new pair for
- Been head-hunted for another editor position
There is more but the old brain mush is setting in already and I am finding it hard to concentrate. More news to follow...

[1] Noticed after old man nudged me out of the way to get his trolley at the supermarket, due to me taking too long to make sure my son was securely fastened in
[2] Note music for this post... d'oh!
[3] Everything was going fine until Luke starting bashing the hell out of Vader (Maddoc's fave character). He said 'no' quite clearly and then went for the space bar (knowing that pauses the film.
[4] It has been a perfect stress relief with book format problems and with no attention span. It's funny and it's Star Wars, what more do you need?
[5] There will be DVDs and so expect YouTube at some point...
[6] I'm sure many Assyrians would disagree
[7] Makes for lots of fun work-wise and is a major reason for all the Star Wars just now
[8] This makes me sad but was unavoidable. There is a strong chance myself and the lovely
morbidmusings will be going at it (ooh er) in November for that NaNoWriMo thang
[9] News as I can formulate my brain more, although both are very exciting...
