Watch out for the undead!
This ended up being good timing after davidbain's good news about his zombie story and episode four of Supernatural, which I watched last night...
In knowing the game of Zombies, you know what must be done, you know that the aim of the game is to get to the helipad and freedom before the other players get there. You also know that if problems arise with that plan, killing 25 of the undead hordes swarming the town will see you victorious. I stress that this is not an option you consider unless problems with the helipad force you down this road; the zombies are gruesome and have only your flesh as food on their minds, run, run as fast as you can!
Not so Wolfram, one of the four competitors in round two of the Zombies!!! Fest tradition at Café Östra. Your resident monkey, pocket_unv and erybar looked on amazed as Wolfram ran into the sporting goods store to take on six of the undead, throw himself, and a grenade, in the doors of the army surplus store, before going on a one-man rampage through the streets. It was all guns blazing and the other three players stayed out of his way lest they share the same fate.
The other three were confident however, they knew it couldn't last, that Wolfram wouldn't be able to survive against this many of the walking dead. They knew because they had their event cards, to torment and hinder him and they of course had the ability to make the zombies run in the other directionn when they saw Wolfram the Zombie Slayer coming their way.
And so the result, as it became three against one, our little plan looked sure to succeed as pocket_unv and I moved ever nearer to the helipad and Wolfram's zombies kept well out of his way.
Then tragedy struck, as pocket_unv and the monkey lost big and Wolfram moved into the police station to finish off the two remaining zombies, thus giving himself 25 and the game!
It had never been done before that someone won the game by going after the 25 zombies and ignoring the helipad but Wolfram knew what he was doing and was cool as a cucumber in the artic fridge whilst achieving his victory.
Already looking forward to Zombies!!! Fest III and my first win (anybody fancy being involved?)
