Hello strangers!
I have missed you guys, and LJ a lot.. but something had to give.
Nursing school is going well, but I REALLY need it to be over. (which it is in Sept!).
If you ever meet a middle aged man who says "I think I want to switch careers. But I don't
want to spend a lot. So I am going to keep working full time, and do school at night. Oh, and
I am not willing to give up the gym or my love life either" kindly shoot him in the face. It's just
easier for everyone.
School has been something. There have been many milestones, and I am not quite ready for a boring
log of the whole adventure...but I will say that my preceptorship is like an ABC after-school special. I really think that I am going to be a great nurse... but learning "where" is the trick. Never want to insert a tracheotomy again if I can help it. (though the alternative is bagging someone, which isn't fun either!)
Health is very good-- though the weight is up about 15 lbs. Pretty typical in my class. I am also lifting a LOT of weight, more than I ever thought I could. Going for the whole muscle-cub thing, which Gil hates, but I am doing it for me.
Dogs are geriatric but ok. Same for husband, lol. Hugs to you all! xo
