Quote of the Week
Perfectionists are their own devils.

Wisdom of the week
We are becoming a nation of "Fail First" people.
That is more of a statement than wisdom. "Fail First" is the pet phase people in California have given to the insurance practice called "step therapy".
A Doctor will prescribe a drug for you to get better. Simple enough.
The insurance company feels that drug is too expensive (damage their profit margin).
They will prescribe a different drug (that's much cheaper) that usually doesn't work.
So basically they are failing until they have no choice to get it right.
I am noticing this policy with a lot of places.
Amazon use to pack things well, now its just tossed in the box (if your lucky) and you receive damaged goods. Send it back and get a replacement usually packaged better.
Some how its cheaper to damage stock and pay return fees that to do it right the first time.
IDW (Idea Design Works) recently did that too. Sold me an art book. Charged a decent price for shipping, but if packed correctly worth the cost (I use to pack things as my job remember). They did it half ass, either because they were lazy or just trying to get a few extra bucks. Book not available in stores so they are keeping all their profits.
All they had to do was spend about another dollar (maybe two) and the book would have arrived perfect and they would still have made extra money.
I think that is were we are heading, where incompetence and laziness is acceptable.
