"Jack and I made love at The Meadows. I had no idea that Clarke was your husband. He had no idea that I was your mother

Is that not just classic over the top soap drama? Mark was cast as Jack Deveraux - the fourth one, no less - on the soap Days of Our Lives from 1994-1997. I'd never seen the show, although, ironically, I worked at the same studio - Sunset Gower - where they filmed it in '86-'87. In fact, I had to pass the writing staff office down the same hallway as my office. This week Romy sent me a video of just Valley clips from the show. The quality of the video and my screen shots... well, let's remember this is ten years old and from a videotape. However, the quality of Valley himself is fab. The small nuances, so touching. A friend says he bears a resemblance to Paul Newman. And he's all angsty. Read the

I created a short video of just this one part of a long storyline where Jack is hoping to win back his ex-wife as she's days from marrying Peter. Really, this scene wasn't about seduction. A simple, shirtless misunderstanding. For any Boston Legal fans, the character Peter is played by Jason Brooks, who, according to Valley, is a guest star on one of the last five episodes (#18-22) of Boston Legal that now won't air until the fall season. Same with Heather Locklear, guesting on the unaired eps from this season and with whom Mark acted as her love interest on "Spin City". Add them to the list of BL guests who acted with Mark in previous projects: Dana Delany and Philip Baker Hall ("Pasadena") and Rupert Everett ("Next Best Thing").
Thank you, Romy, for editing down all your Days videos to a very nice Mark Valley highlight reel.
