Summary: The one where Mark and Wardo reconnect, learn how to work as a team, and it turns out trivia isn't trivial at all. (post-depositions fix-it fic - of course!)
A/N: Written for hapakitsune as part of the fantastic tsnsecretsanta(and I know y'all are over there enjoying all the goodness, so do forgive any cross-posting, I just don't feel right unless I post here too!) This was written to vaguely fulfill hapakitsune's request by featuring a cool scene for a female character, some quality (platonic) OT4 bonding and, well, if there was ever anyone who loves fic with "big romantic gestures" it is I, so there is definitely that! ^_^ Still so much love for this fandom, thanks to everyone keeping it alive a year later with challenges and amazing fic and feedback and awesomeness. Y'all are magical! [additional note: While not necessary, I do think this story works better (and is much funnier) if you get all the Gladiator references. Here's a cheat sheet.]
But the top two players are always the same: E.S. and M.Z. None of the other players ever rank anywhere near them, it’s always just the two of them: Eduardo in first place and Mark just a few hundred points behind. No matter how long he plays or how well he does, every god-damn day he comes in second to Eduardo.
