Wolfgang von Vegas is torn and conflicted. On the one hand, there are things to kill that try to fight him and are fun to tear apart. On the other hand, he can't get out of the town and he feels trapped. This and the conflict itself is making him angry and frustrated. Also, the flying things and dog-like things are not good to eat.

He's topless, now, and the blonde hair covering his shoulders and part of his back is splattered with blood, but it's mostly concentrated around his mouth and hands.

He's dealing with his frustration with violence.

Footsteps.

And something bright at about human shoulder height.

Beyond is the silhouette of a human.

(And the smell of gunpowder, metal, leather, sweat, and desperation.)

"Hello?"

Wolf smiles brightly.

Or, exposes a lot of teeth, anyway.

"Hello there! Have you found a way out?"

"Not yet. You, uh..." Whoa. Big shirtless bloody guy.

"Are you all right?"

"Oh yes," says Wolf. "The dogs here are aggressive, aren't they?"

"Just about everything is," he agrees.

"Have you seen a little girl around? Seven years old; short, black hair..."

Wolf's chin lifts, and he glances around, although really it's the closest thing to a nasal sweep he can do without changing.

"Sorry to say, I have not," he says. "Such a pity."

He sighs. "I know she's been this way...

"You don't know what's going on here, do you?"

"No," Wolf says.

"But I know I've been trapped here for far too long. And I'm hungry."

"Hungry?" He pats his jackets. "I think I have some trail mix..."

"No."

This time when Wolf smiles, he's not pretending to be anything other than what he is.

"Guess again."

Harry's been through a lot at this point. So he's not quite as terrified as he normally would be. Though it is disconcerting to see someone not-monster-shaped suddenly start giving off monstrous vibes.

He swings his shotgun up. "Stay back! I don't want to hurt you..."

Wolfgang moves so fast he appears to blur, one second standing six feet away from the human, the second closer than the nozzle of the shotgun. His hand grabs hold of Harry's wrist.

"You can run if you want."

Eep.

He tries to wrench away from the man's (astonishingly strong!) grip, dropping the shotgun in favor of an ornate ceremonial hatchet. Immediately, he hacks into the stranger's hand and then takes off into the darkness.

Wolf howls, in pain and rage and frustration; a howl that becomes a deep and throaty snarl and he sets off after the human.

Should Harry turn around, he'll see a yellow-furred wolf bounding after him. But turning around would be a very silly thing to do.

Harry is not turning around. He needs to see ahead, what with the dark and the occasional chasms and all.

There's a wall, and a hole in that wall, and a nice but slightly overgrown campground. He ducks through.

Brush attacks him as he escapes into the trees, but he keeps going.

His sides ache, but he keeps going.

It's impossible to see far ahead now anyway. He switches off the flashlight, still running. It works to throw off the other monsters, at least.

What WAS that?!
