Smear Politics
I am certainly not all about politics as it may appear, but then again, 'tis the season.
I just came across this news story, "Obama launches Web site to fight rumors," On the one hand, it is sad that so many voters are swayed by such ridiculous misinformation and never even think to ask about a candidate's policies and programs, but on the other hand, I am glad Barack Obama and his team are smart enough to attack these smears head on rather than try to ignore them. That was a large part of John Kerry's undoing. (But then, I have always thought that if they had just reversed the ticket and made John Edwards the presidential candidate, things could have turned out differently.)
