See HBO's Carnivale.
If you liked American Gothic, you will love Carnivale. HBO will be replaying the first three episodes this Friday, starting at 8pm (I think).
Carnivale is one of those few shows in which you have no clue what's going on. You don't guess the plot before the first commercial (and no commercials! It's HBO!). It's a treat to watch the story unfold at it's own pace.
Here's my last kudo: I missed the 2nd episode last weekend due to Isabelle. I made a point of staying up past my bedtime to catch the late replay tonight.
