Another workshop poem. Making ceramics as an extended metaphor for the process I go through in making poetry.

"Baby kiss that frog" - a line from a Peter Gabriel song, came to mind when I read this one.

Hmm.. Is your mother still living? Does she do ceramics?

I haven't heard "Kiss that Frog" but the lyrics do seem appropriate. :-)

Yes, she still living. She still has her kiln and other materials, but hasn't had the time or space for a while, but just moved into a new house, so maybe will take it up again.

Hmm, yes, I do think I need to have you tell me what the lyrics are really about, say the next time we're hot tubbing? ;-)
