Paraylzer - Finger Eleven
This just came out about a week or so ago, I think. It's one of the new songs from Finger Eleven's new album, "Them vs. Me vs. You."
I like Finger Eleven. I don't absolutely love them, but there are some single songs of theirs that I've enjoyed, and I do have all three current albums. They're pretty cool. ♥
Anyway, this song is just catchy. It has a really great beat and is a lot more pop-ish than their previous music, which is on the heavier alternative metal side of things. It's definitely a song that you can dance to, no matter how white you are.
It disappoints me at the same time, though, because the lyrics feel so shallow. It's all about being ignored by a girl at a nightclub. When you compare that to the deeper meanings of their other songs (i.e. inner torment, strength, weakness, etc.) it all feels so shallow and meaningless. While I'm looking forward to this new album, I really hope that they don't choose to continue with style over substance.
