i'd like to thank everyone for their support at the hbo comedy arts festival. we had really great turn outs for our screenings & i appreciate it so much.
this was by far the best film festival i've ever gone to. it started out like the trip from hell- being detoured to grand junction, having to drive two & a half hours to get to aspen, losing our luggage- & ended up being probably one of the best weekends i've ever had. going into it, i had no idea how exclusive this festival was. i am very, very grateful that i was able to be apart of it & have my work be showcased in such a setting. there was an intimacy about it. everyone was so open & kind i couldn't believe it. it wasn't at all the stuffy chauvinistic hollywood types. i met so many wonderful people, i couldn't have asked for a better experience. i left feeling exhilarated about my career & the people who are apart of the business.
& now a couple of things...
- congratulations to my new found friends in
summer of tears !
(pssssh... only the best sketch comedy group with a snowglobe to prove it !)
- check out
tim minchin. AMAZING comedian. do it.
- american fork is the best film i've seen this year.
- diet a&w rootbeer is still the best thing ever.
also, i don't know if i mentioned this previously, but i am attending the d.w. brown & joanne baron acting studio & it is outstanding. honestly, it's not only improving my acting skills but my life skills. i am very pleased to be apart of such a school & if you're looking for a good place to study the art of acting, you need to go here.
have a fabulous day / night.
