hey there folks
Alright, so what have I been up to lately?
Well this weekend Megan and I went shopping in Covent Gardens, Leicster Square, and walked around Tralagar Square. It's walking distance from my flat and its a nice little area. I got this pastry that reminded me of lindsay's meringue cookies, but it was pink! it was good in a weird way..haha. At night we went to the Wax Bar for happy hour, got 2 drinks, one was called like purple rain and it was soo good! For dinner we went to this noodle bar, and got good desert too!
Saturday the girls and I went looking to get an English Breakfast (its like eggs, toast, sausage, beans..a bunch of stuff) but we couldn't find a place cuz it was already past 12. We then went to portobello market, they had tons of stuff..lots of fresh produce, baked goods, and snacks. I got banana chips there i figured I could bring them to lunch. It was kind of pricey compared to Camden Market.
In the evening it was our friend Hannah's birthday, and we were going to go to this ice bar where everything is literally made of ice, but our plans fell through cuz its a big cover charge to get in. SO we just went to other little places.
Cambridge was Sunday it was fun, took a bus tour, walk around the outside market and shops, and went punting. I actualy got to do it. Its like a gondola ride the canal of cambridge. It was such a good way to the city and all of the colleges there. I almost fell in punting though, I slipped and our leader had to catch me..haha. But it was fun.
oo I emailed Monk and we're going to try and get together next week after work. She takes the tube that goes right by where I work so it works out well. I'm excited to see her, I haven't seen her in forever.
hmm..well I'm glad everyone got their postcards, if not they should be coming soon! I'm thinking about you all so much. Yesterday was hard cuz it was 1 year for Ken and I, but I'm hanging in there. The year flew by. I know my time here will go by fast as well.
Oo I talked to my dad and he said he might come up in March sometime and bring Mark, so that is fun.
