Oh, a lot happens in this series and it's sequel, Remember Me.
The story begins with Mulder getting himself in over his head when dealing with men who've taken a bunch of hostages at a mountain vacation lodge in the Pacific Northwest. Scully rushes there to keep Mulder from doing anything reckless - as if that's going to work - but Mulder ends up held hostage by men intent on doing some really nasty things to him. Scully, Skinner, and the local police are on the scene, but it ends up being Alex Krycek who sneaks in and resolves the situation. He then takes Mulder to a cabin to help him recover - and to win Mulder over.
The two become lovers, but things aren't going to be smooth sailing from there. What follows include lots of romance, sex, misunderstandings and angst; angry Scully; mistaken-for-dead Mulder; vengeful Alex; more angst; supportive Scully; Mulder with amnesia; a will-reading; a bit of club-hopping; more misunderstandings; and a Teena Mulder who is not hateful.
