Fic Series: The Second Law of Thermodynamics, by Tangles (Sherlock BBC)

Jan 15, 2011 22:05

This is a series of four stories, which begins when John awakens on a snowy night at Baker Street to find that Sherlock has been ignoring any common sense about the temperature and is half freezing as he works on some cold cases in the sitting room. Concerned for Sherlock's health, John decides to get Sherlock tucked into bed. Since there's a dead owl in Sherlock's bed, this means taking him to John's own bed.

Well, Sherlock finds this to be quite a useful thing that, among other things, seems to cure his insomnia. So he's rather resentful when John doesn't want it to continue. John himself is frustrated over the whole thing. Especially because Sherlock sprawls all over the bed - and all over John - when he sleeps, and this is starting to stir certain feelings in John.

I love this story to bits. It expands on the typical hypothermia fic, addresses Sherlock's asexuality (or in this case, more in the gray-a range), keeps both John and Sherlock in character, and has humor and emotion and romance. A really good read.
