Adorable, sweet Mystrade story.
Lestrade doesn't like Mycroft when he first starts showing up at various crimes scenes. He spends a few months wondering why this creepy, conceited guy is there, even when Sherlock's not involved in the investigation. But after learning that Mycroft has a softer side (involving hand-knitted scarves and mince pies for the homeless), Lestrade starts to see him in a new light. Emails, ecards, phone calls and a bit of flirting ensue, and soon there's a sweet little romance beginning to blossom. At a posh event, they slow dance and kiss for the first time.
The story is told in segments by month, and includes images of ecards.

From Mycroft Holmes to Gregory Lestrade:
There’s no need to resort to that now Gregory, I’ll happily tell you anything you want to know.
I’ll have you know that The Lord of the Rings is a cinematic masterpiece and Orlando Bloom is both a very talented actor and a rather handsome man.
I’m sorry it can’t compete with your epic crush on Gordon Ramsey. And yes I do know about that, you can’t hide anything from me, and besides, my Googlefu is significantly better than yours.
