Fic: A Little Competition, by Tangles (Sherlock BBC)
I have so much love for this fic. It's at times funny, at times a bit scary (in that Halloween story kind of way), and includes some nice Sherlock/John moments. Also, Mycroft!
Halloween night, and John comes in from the pouring rain to find Sherlock and Mycroft in the flat. There's a power outage, and tea-drinking, and each in turn the three men tell stories they think are appropriate for Halloween.
John's story is about an old friend who hypnotized his sister and couldn't get her to come out of it. Mycroft's story is about James Phillimore, who went into his house to get an umbrella and never came out again. And Sherlock's is about a visit he made to an old estate with a history of unexplained murders.
