Fic: Captured, by Mad Maudlin (Sherlock BBC)
John used to draw - at least until his shoulder injury changed him from a solid lefty to ambidextrous. When he walks into his room one day to find Sherlock perusing his old drawings, John finds that the drawing bug comes back and he begins doodling and drawing caricatures of Sherlock. But when Sherlock begins to insist that John draw a serious piece of artwork of him, John balks.
Things that stand out:
Sherlock compares his violin-playing to John's drawing, and performs a violin concert for John one evening;
John has a dream about chasing a zombie through Bart's with a chainsaw (unfortunately, only one line of the fic - I'd love an entire fic of this! or at least artwork - this story really makes me crave artwork);
Sherlock leaves paper and pencils around, hoping to tempt John to draw;
John does his crosswords in ink.
