40: think of a piece of jewellery you own: what's it's story? does it have any meaning to you?
I wear my class ring pretty much exclusively at this point. Over the years I've been back and forth with wearing any/some/all the jewellery I could but am currently in a very minimalist phase. I've had earrings on a literal handful of times in the past couple of years, almost never wear necklaces (although I got a neat one similar to this but the head of mine is a pink bejewelled bobble of some kind instead), and sometimes wear bracelets but only the cuff kind because regular bracelets get beat to shit whenever I try to type.
The ring is for my original grad year of 2004. But I also could have graduated in 2005 and did so again in 2006. I didn't bother getting anything to commemorate the certificate I got in 2007 and my high school ring is kicking around here somewhere in an old makeup bag, I think.
I also took a picture of my nails on Friday before I took the polish off. I've done some gradient-esque nails before but this is the first time I only used two colours and ones that were both bright and different.
I'm caught up with this week's Riverdale and my post from last week about how much I don't care about Archie Andrews is only multiplied by 10,000 after this week. All the other characters have complex storylines and emotional entanglements happening and all Archie can do is storm around town and barge in on parties to make them all about him. Ugh, hype everyone else.
I tried writing a couple things on Friday for fullmoon_ficlet but I realized the first one wasn't going to be done properly for the time I'd allowed, even though I started earlier in the week on it, and I was falling asleep in my chair on the second so I closed up shop and went to bed instead. I really have to get better at writing or staying diligent on it. I've been sucking hardcore these past couple of months and was hoping to have already tried to post writing every day in March but, well. That didn't happen but May is Merry Month of Masturbation so I think I can catch up (I hope?).
D and I also recorded our first episode today of the podcast. Now I have to edit a couple things and find out where to upload/host it and ... wait? We have no idea what we're doing, it's great.
BUT CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE PREMIERE OF RICK AND MORTY THAT LEGIT DROPPED ON APRIL FOOL'S?!
