31: what is your opinion of socks? do you like wearing weird socks? do you sleep with socks? do you confine yourself to white sock hell? really, just talk about socks.
Yes to everything, but also no.
I like socks when they're needed for warmth but that's about it. I have a "no socks until November" rule/motto/way of life so right around, oh... now-ish I stop wearing socks on a daily basis. I only wear them in my sneakers, or those little old lady footie socks that cover only the toes and heels in shoes you really shouldn't go barefoot in.
I'm pretty boring when it comes to socks. I have gravitated towards sporty ankle socks and currently wear Puma or Under Armour ones. They're so comfy! I have a couple pairs of regular socks but they're kept in bed. One pair of woolies and another pair that's some kind of soft sweater-type material. I only wear them on the coldest nights of the year or when my feet are too distractingly chilled in bed.
When I worked at the theatre back in university part of the uniform was black socks. By times they would even do random checks to see if you were wearing them. I got in the habit of buying and wearing only black socks so for over two years my sock game was pretty boring. Once I was done with that job and out here in Alberta I started buying the brightest socks I could find and therefore ended up with a whole lot of cartoon socks. Think Spongebob and Smurfs.
Other things about socks: toe socks are the devil. The best part of no socks until November is driving barefoot. I don't concern myself with matching socks, which is another reason why I generally buy the same socks; I don't have to worry about grabbing two different ones, aside from colour. A former co-worker is also my neighbour and he has a dog (a spaniel of some kind, I think) and his name is Sock.
