Still have 5 Imzy invites for anyone interested. Leave your email in the comments.

I watched the first season of Rick & Morty this evening since the season was so short. I don't love it and a few times I almost turned it off and deleted the eps but it won me over a little with the overall storyline. That's something I love about silly sitcoms or cartoons that not enough do. Often times things that have previously happened are conveniently overlooked but this show has to keep the storyline with all the various universes straight and I like it! They could easily brush that off!

I watched the first couple episodes of Wolf Blood last night on Netflix and it's mildly intriuging and actually has another season coming, from what I read online. I just don't know if I want to throw another show into the mix, especially when it has a kind of a werewolf-themed Sarah Jane Adventures-feel to it. But it's only a half hour and has short seasons so it would take about as long for me to blast through the eps as I didn R&M tonight.

Anyone seen Wolf Blood and have any opinions?

That's about the most excitement I've had all weekend. By the time I get to work tomorrow this mini-cold I have will be all but gone, which is what kept me in the house all weekend. I made steak for supper yesterday and fish today, along with a lemon pie, but, uh... that's it?

I didn't watch the VMAs this year, as I would have done and tweeted about it, and I'm okay with that. I don't like Kanye, don't like Beyonce's music or get why she's so great, and after hearing most of Britney's album really didn't care about watching her "perform" live. I saw a video of her song and while it's better than 2007 (but then, most things are) I still found it to be a very lackluster and ... sad? performance. She's become comfortable in Las Vegas and has done well for herself there. I'd love to see her in Vegas but watching her back on a stage where she's in front of millions of people live and in a place where she last basically kicked off her downfall hurricane was noticably dull.

Her lip synching was bad, her moves were okay but you could see where she was steadying herself (I've seen her do things like that during televised performances and it looks like nerves to me? It seems she's way more sure of herself when it's just her Vegas audience watching.) and she looked very uncomfortable with G-Easy (wut?). It makes me sad for her that she is so obviously uncomfortable in these situations. Clearly I don't know what's going on behind the scenes and if she's the one gunning to do this stuff or if it's her team pushing her or a contractual obligation, and it's very easy for me to be an armchair-critic but I can't help but wish she could stop recording and live off her Vegas residency for another few years and then retire.

I liked her outfit, though?
