all out of witty today, try again tomorrow

• Even though I was expecting it I couldn't help but feel a bit gutted when the official announcement of season 6 being its last came down the pipeline. The thing I'm most dreading is the probable dip in inspiration I'll have to write once the show is over. I'm someone who loses interest in being in fandom once a show is over and while I could hope this case will be different I have to go with what I know.

But the show won't be over until into 2017 which means likely around March-ish next year will be the finale. I can't see MTV holding out on the second half until June, unless ratings are pretty good for the first half of 6A but we'll see, I suppose. In the meantime I'm going to do my best to be as productive as possible with this show.

It may have plotholes and warts for days but they're like little doors to better ideas when it comes to fandom. So I'll accept them with only mild bitching and complaining.

• I'm on vacation this week! I have little to no plans although I asked mom to wake me before she left today so I could check my work email for an ad proof and send it to the client. And I have a publication that has to go to the publisher next week so I'll be working on that this week, too.

By the time the magazine gets sent to said printers I hope I'll have the all clear sign to put in my two weeks and order my Daytime Emmys award. The staff association gives people acrylic plaques to outgoing staff and I want my own to practice my Daytime Emmy speech with.

I always plan my week off during Stampede week, which starts on Wednesday. I think A and I will hit the fairgrounds for one day and mom and I bought rodeo tickets for the Friday night show. I wasn't able to score free tickets this year since C isn't at work anymore, but maybe I'll have an in again this time next year.

• A co-worker is a member of a site that sends medicinal and otherwise weed-products. For some reason she was telling me about weed infused honey her and her SO get from there and brought me a bottle to try. It's delightful. The first night I think I had too much and felt like my thoughts were screaming at me and making me semi-paranoid. But since then it's just been a mellow, giggly time and it helps me get to sleep quicker and I think I sleep better (even if I don't sleep longer).

I signed up for the site myself. We have a clinic in town now that will prescribe but this site makes you wait a certain number of weeks unless you have a note. I've thought of going to the clinic on my own for sleep help and back pain but this will be fine for now.

• My mom is at a higher level at Pokemon Go than I am. I am not the best.

• I won't be going back to watching Arrow, no matter how much Katie Cassidy's going to be involved now. I JUST finished this season of The Flash, as well, and it got a bit bumpy there. For some reason my dvr only recorded every other episode after the hiatus for about eight weeks so there was some stuff I got from an imdb summary of the ep, rather than dl'ing it to catch up. I LIKE The Flash, though, and am content to see what season 3 brings. ESPECIALLY for more Katie.

I haven't caught any of Legends of Tomorrow yet, though. Maybe this week. I'll watch the last four episodes of Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries, as well (why?!?). I told O, from work, that she should check it out because she'd really like it and she did slowly, at first, and then today texted me and said she finished it.

I hope hope hope that Tyler is received super well by the fans so he can have a spinoff from Supergirl. I'll catch up or try to watch as many episodes as I can on the CW before s2 starts but it's ONLY for Hoechlin. The show has the same writers, from what I understand, so I'm not expecting to suddenly like it again or when he appears, but I'd watch him in a fucking infomercial. Hell, I HAVE when he appeared in that fucking Lasik video.
